"Just create something new, and there it is, and it's you, out in the world, outside of you and you can look at it, or hear it, or read it, or feel it... and you know a little more about you, a little bit more than anyone else does." (P.S. I Love You)

For my 3D Design final, I had to manipulate space and make a piece of public art. My idea was to tranform a dorm room into a child’s play fort. It’s funny/sad the ways the building process made me realize just how much I have grown up. I had to get myself in the mood to start and set aside time to have fun, and once I did start building, I got frustrated when I couldn’t figure out how to make a certain blanket stay in place. Did that used to happen? Once I had a clear vision though, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, things I could add and games I used to play in my old forts. I’ve been having sleepovers with my friends and reading in my fort, just like in the good ole days. It’s funny how a pile of blankets and some furniture can bring 8 year old Anna into college. I’d kinda like her to stay.

If you want to check out my room, it’s Elam 168. You are welcome anytime.
